Digital Art

These are my digital illustrations, building upon my story 'Epitaph'.

Dynamic poses & Character interaction

Program: Clip Studio Paint

Avery and Len Baby page2.png

My characters, Avery and Len, as children and exploring the wild and playing together.

Cinematic scene

IMG_4197.png

My character Len, is exploring a cave, not noticing a spirit standing behind him. I played with how these spirits would look and interact in the human world.

Facial Expression sheet

Naomi expression sheet.png

This is a facial expression sheet of my character Naomi. These drawings show the range of expression she has in both her civilian form and her form working in the military for the Spirit Division.

Character Line up sheet

Line up.PNG

A line-up of more characters that work in the Spirit Division for the military. I wanted to show a variety of characters that work within this division, including a medical researcher, a team leader, and the head of the Spirit Division. Their outfits reflect their line of work. Madeleine's role as a team leader is to coordinate her team of spirit users to take down unstable spirits to protect the public; her outfit contains extra details to differentiate her role and is made for physical activity.

SPirit concept designs

spirits_edited.jpg

A line-up of different spirit designs to showcase the shape language and textures of the spirits. Depending on who they were in life and their actions, their spirit form will reflect that.

Weapon design concepts

Weapons_edited.jpg

Different types of weapons utilising 'Spirit Cores' in order to increase manpower to take down unstable spirits due to only 2-3% of the population being able to see spirits. Cores were harvested from spirits however when their power was finished, they had to be replaced.

Background design

A quiet scene inside my character's household. I wanted to experiment with perspective and include smaller personal details such as family photos and achievements and children's drawings on the walls.
